Chapter 1
I woke up from the shrill, droning ring
of my alarm clock. I yawned, literally smashed the clock, swiped it onto the
floor, and jumped out of bed.
When
I began to walk toward my bedroom door to exit, it opened and threw me against
the wall.
My
brother, Zorg, appeared. “Oh! Oops, sorry, Wilson,” he said.
“Unh…
It’s okay,” I muttered, standing up weakly.
I
had the life of a superhero. That’s because I am one. Oh, yeah. I forgot to
introduce myself. My name is Wilson Bob, and my superhero name is Super Wilson.
I
stumbled into the kitchen, still sleepy.
‘Maybe
Mom can make toast for me!’ I thought. Maybe. Just maybe.
“Mom,”
I asked, “can you make me some toast?”
“Yesiree,
of course, Wilson Bob!”
So
I was right! She would make toast for me!
“Remember,
it’s a school day,” said my mom. “After this, you need to:” And she took out
her list of chores. “You need to: brush your teeth, make your bed, comb your
hair, and get dressed in your best toupee.”
Then
she slammed a plate with two slices of toast onto the table in front of me.
Chomp.
Chew. Munch. Nibble. Lick. I ate the last bite of my toast and rushed back to
my room to do my chores.
Zorg
was in my room.
“Good
morning!” he exclaimed.
Oh
yeah, I forgot to tell you. Zorg is a superhero too.
Later,
at the bus stop, I caught up to my two friends, Bob the Brick and Angelina Star
Twinkle.
“Anything
exciting happen today?” asked Angelina.
“Nope,”
I answered. “Not yet, at least.”
I
climbed into the school bus when it arrived and got into the middle row of
seats with my brother and friends, as usual.
All
of a sudden, a huge meteor dropped out of the sky and careened into the last
row of the bus. It completely took off the back of the bus! Luckily, no one
ever sits in the last row and now they never will, even if they wanted to.
The
bus started to swerve and sway and it suddenly crashed into a mailbox on the
yard of one of my neighbors!
Holey
moley! The bus was a smoking heap of metal. But fortunately, everyone jumped
out of it before it rammed into the mailbox.
“Bwa
ha ha ha!” We heard someone laughing evilly above us.
I
looked up. “What the heck!” I exclaimed.
There
was my evil twin, Evil Wilson, but how in the world did he get here? The last
time I saw him, he was securely locked up in prison!
WHIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
“Noooo!”
shouted Zorg. But I did it anyway.
I
turned into a mini-twister, and transformed into Super Wilson.
Zorg
grabbed onto my left hand as I flew up in the air to confront Evil Wilson.
“What
do you think you’re doing, breaking outta jail and destroying school buses?” I
screamed angrily.
“Oh,
I dunno,” said Evil Wilson. “Maybe just to have fun?”
“How
could cruelly exploding buses possibly be fun?” interrupted Zorg.
And
then he stretched into a bird, flew into Evil Wilson, and pecked him with his
beak.
“Ouchie!”
Evil Wilson fell out of the sky and landed on the hot school bus.
“Guys,
that’s one point for us,” I exclaimed. “Do you think Evil Wilson will— ”
“Let
me do something!” Angelina interjected.
You
see, Angelina is the famous female superhero Blue Girl.
Angelina
took out her box of blueberries she always, and I mean always, packs in her
backpack.
“How
the heck is a little box of blueberries going to defeat me?” Evil Wilson
mumbled rather rudely, standing up on the school bus.
“You’ll
soon see!” Angelina exclaimed, digging up a handful of berries and shoving them
into her mouth. She chewed and swallowed.
All
of a sudden she shrunk and turned blue. She was now the incredible Blue Girl.
“Now
I see,” squeaked Evil Wilson. He cleared his throat. “But you’re going to have
to be stronger than that to even have a sliver of a chance against me!”
“I
have a great idea!” Zorg said suddenly. Then he slowly morphed into a green, elastic
gorilla. “I can pack a heckuva punch now!”
Then
he charged at Evil Wilson.
“Aieeeeeeeeeeeee!”
shrieked Evil Wilson. “I’ll be back, just you wait!”
And we all laughed and laughed.
