SW and the Quest for the Golden Goblet

BOOK THE FIRST
Chapter 1

It was a foggy night in Alienville, Super Wilson's hometown. SW was enjoying some quiet time in his kind of messy bedroom. He lay on his bedroom floor, on his tummy. The lamp was casting a bright glow over the room. He and Zorg were eating Raisin Bran Crunch as they did their nightly activities. SW was reading his favorite magazine, Aliens. He said to Zorg as he studied the magazine, "Look at this golden cup, Zorg."

Zorg looked up from his diary he was writing in. He was snuggled in his and SW's bed, on his back.

"It's a goblet made out of pure gold," SW continued excitedly.  "Legend has it that it's hidden somewhere in Brick France."

That got Zorg's attention. He finally stopped writing and looked at the magazine. "Are you sure?" he asked as he got down from the bed.

"Of course I'm sure," said SW proudly.

Zorg smiled and grabbed SW's magazine out of his hands. "If we find that goblet, we'll be rich!" he exclaimed.

"Of course we'll be rich," replied SW. "It's gold! If we...!"

Zorg stopped SW from saying anything else. "Just simply turn the page, take some deep breaths, and go to bed and sleep. Maybe we can go on a quest to find it tomorrow or the next day," soothed Zorg. He released his hand and SW climbed up into the bed quietly.

Chapter 2

The next morning, Zorg shook SW, startling him out of his daydreams. (You see, SW wasn't really asleep. When he woke up, he closed his eyes and starting daydreaming about finding the goblet and becoming rich.) "Get up," Zorg said gingerly. "Dad said, 'Zorg, you and SW may go on a quest to find the golden goblet, become rich, and spend all the money on candy and comic books.' "

"Are you sure he said that?" asked SW doubtfully.

"Nope," said Zorg firmly, trying not to laugh. "He didn't even say anything close to that."

"I knew it," said SW.

"I know you knew it," replied Zorg.

"I know that you know I knew it," said SW.

"I know that you know that I know you knew it," said Zorg, confused.

"I know that you know that I know that you know I knew it," said SW, not one bit confused.

"Let's just stop this conversation," sighed Zorg.

"Let's just stop this-oh, wait," said SW.

Zorg gripped his diary and wrote about the confusing conversation that he and SW had just had.

"What are you writing about?" asked SW with a spark of interest.

"That confusing conversation," mouth-motioned Zorg.

Chapter 3

Zorg got out of bed and put on his clothes. "Baseball cap, tee-shirt, shorts," he said, counting each part of his outfit.  He stretched and looked in the silvery mirror. Yessiree, he thought, this is going to be a nice day. As soon as SW gets dressed, we're going to dash out of the door and go on the hunt for the goblet.

Just then, SW walked over to the sliding mirror, rolled it along the tracks, and reached for his favorite outfit: toupee, red tee-shirt, and white shorts.

"All set?" asked Zorg, pulling SW out the door so fast that his toupee flew right off.  "Then let's go!"

Chapter 4
SW and Zorg stood in front of a big airplane.  "Do you have tickets?" asked the pilot.  SW and Zorg nodded and showed him their tickets. "All right, then," continued the pilot. "You can sit in any pair of empty seats."

SW went inside and Zorg followed. "So," said Zorg, "pilot, we want to go to..." His voice trailed off as he tried to remember where the goblet was. SW whispered some words into his ear. "Oh, yes," he said. "Pilot, we want to go to Brick France. Step on it!" The pilot started to fly the plane in answer to Zorg.

Minutes later, the two alien brothers were in Brick France. A fancy brick stepped out to greet them. "Bonjour," he said happily. "Une baguette?"

SW whispered the same words to Zorg in English. "Hello. A baguette?" he translated. "Oui, s'il vous plait. Yes, please," he replied.

"Moi, aussi," said Zorg quickly.  "Me, too."

"Droit de cette façon, puis," said the brick.

"Right this way, then," translated SW.

Zorg followed the French-speaking brick to the baguette shop with SW. "Voici ma boutique baguette," said the brick proudly.

"Here is my baguette shop," translated SW.

"Je veux une baguette! I want a baguette!" said Zorg quickly, looking around at the big baguette store.

The brick smiled and gave Zorg a big baguette.

He munched his bread happily.

"N'oubliez pas que nous sommes ici pour la coupe d'or," whispered SW. "Remember that we're here for the golden goblet."

"La coupe d'or?" asked the brick excitedly. "Cette chose est célèbre!"

"The golden goblet? That thing's famous!" translated SW to Zorg.

"It is? It is!" exclaimed Zorg. "We'd better be leaving, Monsieur Brick," he trembled, about to burst.

"Au revoir!" waved the brick.

To be continued...
